Ermine in Winter

An Ermine peeks out from its hole at last light on a Winter evening near Georgetown Lake, Montana. I was just pulling on to Hwy 1 at 7 Gables and noticed this little guy by the lake. Fortunately there was a pullout close by. He was very curious and allowed me to approach close enough for a photograph. This is probably the oldest photograph on my website. I shot this image in 1991. Fuji Velvia film.
