Springtime in the Palouse

I made this photograph during my first trip to the Palouse in May of 1999.  With no social media, this area wasn't quite as well known as a photographer's destination in those days.  I've always enjoyed photographing farmland.  With its interesting rows and repeating patterns, old fences and rustic barns,  there are many possibilities for composition.  In this image, I found an abstract landscape composition that the light and shadow of the rising sun brought to life.
