Hoback - The Grand King

The magnificent Bull Moose known to the locals as Hoback was in the prime of his life in 2021. Here, he walks through a field of sagebrush as the Grand Tetons rise in the background.  I wanted to photograph him with a landscape photographer's perspective.  So instead of using a large telephoto lens to zoom in on the Moose, I used a shorter focal length lens  to show him in his environment.  The king in his kingdom.
 
On this day, an approaching storm created wonderful drama in the clouds, and the sage flats created a beautiful tapestry of texture and color.  All I needed was for everything to line up.  At this moment, when he was just below the Grand peak of the Tetons, I clicked the shutter.
