Western Tanager
A Western Tanager perches on a Willow branch in Montana. Photographed on the banks of the Big Hole River. These beautiful birds arrive in June during the Salmon Fly hatch to feast on these large and tasty treats. I don't actually know if they taste good and hopefully I never find out, but the Tanagers and fish go nuts for them. Photographed with a Nikon 35mm camera and Fuji Sensia film.
