Wild Balsamroot at Sunset

The sun sets behind a lush field of Balsamroot in a hillside above the Cloumbia River Gorge.  Heavy rain created epic conditions for wildflowers.  In this image, the setting sun lights up the translucent petals of the wildflowers, giving them a warm glow.
