Yellowstone Thunderstorm
I was driving home from an art festival in Jackson Hole and noticed that the wildflowers on Mount Washburn were rockin. I drove into Gardiner, Montana, got a motel, and dropped off my cargo trailer, and headed back into the park. When I arrived at this spot, I heard thunder, and noticed a lightning storm in the distance. As a huge bonus, there was no wind to blow the flowers around. I composed this scene and started shooting. I shot 5 rolls of film and got two slides with lightning. Year 2000. Nikon 35mm. Fuji Velvia film.
